Robert Wade

Robert Wade is Professor of Political Economy and Development at the London School of Economics. Educated at Sussex University, he has held positions at Princeton, MIT, Brown University, and the World Bank. His research examines global economic governance, inequality, and development strategies, with fieldwork across Asia and Europe.

Key interests include globalization's impact on income distribution, trade policy design, and the role of state intervention in economic development. His book 'Governing the Market' analyzes East Asia's industrialization and won the American Political Science Association's Best Book award.
