Robert Stanley is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Temple University's College of Science and Technology. His research focuses on DNA repair mechanisms using ultrafast laser spectroscopy to study photolyase enzymes, and the redox properties of flavoenzymes using Stark spectroscopy. Dr. Stanley's research interests include biophysical chemistry, DNA repair, ultrafast electron transfer processes, and the characterization of flavoprotein behavior under optical excitation. His educational background includes a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley (1978), a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University (1991), and postdoctoral research at Stanford University (1991-1996).
