Robert Simmons is a Lecturer in Economics at Lancaster University's Management School. He holds a doctorate from the University of Leeds and has expertise in Labour Economics and Sports Economics. His research focuses on union bargaining, efficiency wage models, and sports labour markets, with notable work on Italian football salary determination and US National Football League player markets. He consults for the International Labour Organisation and serves on the Journal of Sports Economics editorial board.
