Robert Seggie is an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University's School of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. He is affiliated with the Curtin Perth campus and part of the Office of the Provost's portfolio. His research focuses on petroleum geology, reservoir engineering, and hydrocarbon exploration, particularly in marine environments like the Timor Sea. Seggie has contributed to studies on gas-condensate fields such as Sunrise-Troubadour, emphasizing reservoir connectivity, fluid dynamics, and uncertainty modeling in hydrocarbon volumes. His work integrates geological, geophysical, and engineering approaches to address challenges in energy resource assessment.
Notable publications include analyses of Timor Sea hydrocarbon systems and methodologies for dynamic reservoir parameter evaluation. He has collaborated with institutions on projects combining static fault modeling with dynamic simulation frameworks. Seggie’s expertise spans structural geology, reservoir fluid characterization, and multiphase flow dynamics in complex geological settings.
