Robert Roßbruch

Prof. Robert Roßbruch serves as an Honorary Professor for Health and Care Law at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences (Faculty of Social Sciences). He is a practicing lawyer specializing in health/nursing law since 1990 and founder of the monthly journal PflegeRecht. His expertise spans legal advising for healthcare institutions, participation in parliamentary hearings (e.g., German Bundestag amendments to care laws), and leadership roles in organizations like the German Society for Human Dying (DGHS).

Education: Studied law, political science, and philosophy at Universities of Marburg and Giessen. Professional roles include head of the Institute for Health and Care Law (Koblenz) and legal counsel for hospitals/nursing homes nationwide.

Research focuses include healthcare regulation, nursing law compliance, and ethical issues in end-of-life care. He has delivered over 600 lectures internationally and contributed to landmark legal cases challenging assisted-suicide restrictions.
