Robert Riewerts

Robert Riewerts, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. With over 30 years of experience, he has held leadership roles in pediatric care at Kaiser Permanente, overseeing care for nearly one million members. He joined USC Student Health in 2021 and has a history of teaching in residency and medical student programs. His expertise includes pediatric vaccination strategies, public health policy, and healthcare access.

Education: Graduated from the USC School of Medicine (now Keck) in 1987, completed internship and residency in Pediatrics at LAC/USC by 1990.

Research interests focus on pediatric vaccination trends during pandemics, autism spectrum disorder associations, and healthcare equity. His publications highlight vaccine coverage disparities and home visiting programs’ impact on child health.
