معرفی
Robert Madsen is an Organic Chemistry Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Technical University of Denmark. His research focuses on developing novel homogeneous catalytic reactions, particularly photocatalyzed transformations using non-precious transition metals (e.g., tungsten, copper) and N-heterocyclic carbenes to create sustainable carbon-carbon bonds from bioderived substrates. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to sustainable chemistry and resource efficiency.
Research Interests:
- Photocatalyzed organic reactions
- Homogeneous catalyst design
- C-C bond formation mechanisms
- Green chemistry applications
Students & Projects: Supervising PhD projects including 'Formation of Carbon-Carbon Bonds from Bio-Derived Substrates' (2024–2027), 'Photocatalytic Reactions of Alcohols with Earth-Abundant Metal Catalysts' (2022–2025), and 'Design of antibody masking ligands with brain and CNS specific activation' (2025–2028).
Labs & Collaborations: Collaborates internationally on sustainable chemistry and catalyst development. Active in interdisciplinary projects involving spectroscopy, kinetics, and sustainable feedstock utilization.
