Robert M Kay, MD, is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, and the Division Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Since 1997, he has directed the Motion Analysis Laboratory at CHLA. His research focuses on pediatric orthopedics, gait analysis, and surgical interventions for cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disorders.

Dr. Kay has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, with recent work emphasizing gait deviations, surgical outcomes, and biomechanical interventions in cerebral palsy. His current research includes hip surgery, hamstring lengthening, and motion analysis to improve functional mobility.
