Robert Lomax

Dr Robert Lomax is a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West of England (UWE), specifically within the School of Health and Social Wellbeing under the College of Health, Science and Society. He holds qualifications including DSW, MA, MSc, and BA (Hons). His roles include joint Programme Leader for UWE's undergraduate social work training program and teaching focused on mental health care and working with adults at risk.

• Education: Social work qualification from the University of London (1999), doctorate from Cardiff University (2024).

Research interests center on mental health care, particularly health inequalities, social determinants of mental health, and social work practice. His doctoral research, conducted with the Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, contributes to this field.
