Pennsylvania State Universityمعرفی
Robert Levenson is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Neuroscience and Experimental Therapeutics at the Penn State College of Medicine. He is also a senior member of the University of Pennsylvania Center for Translational Research on the Clinical Neurobiology of Drug Addiction. His research focuses on molecular regulation of GPCR signaling and the neurobiological basis of schizophrenia and substance abuse. He currently co-directs the MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program at Penn State College of Medicine.
- Affiliations: Penn State Neuroscience Institute, University of Pennsylvania Center for Translational Research
- Grants: Principal Investigator (PI) of multiple NIH-funded projects including the Medical Scientist Training Program (2023–2025) and studies on heroin addiction (2014–2017).
Research interests encompass molecular mechanisms underlying drug addiction, GPCR signaling pathways, and translational neurobiology. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Recipient of the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching (2023) and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (2017).
