Dr. Robert Kołodziej is a lecturer at the Historical Institute within the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences at the University of Wrocław. His academic work focuses on the political and institutional history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth during the early modern period.
His research interests include:
- Political history of the 16th-18th centuries
- Constitutional and legal history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth
- Political culture of the nobility and their participation in co-governing the state
- Analysis of historical institutions including the Sejm, local assemblies, and the Senate
- Diplomatic history and relations between the Commonwealth and neighboring states
- Editorship of historical sources
Dr. Kołodziej holds consultation hours during the winter semester 2021/2022 at the Historical Institute, room 228, on Tuesdays from 12:00-14:00.
