Robert Kitzinger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Counselor Education at Kean University's College of Health Professions and Human Services. His office is located in OGAT 327, and he can be reached at Rokitzin@kean.edu. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Counseling from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and a B.A. in Political Science from Slippery Rock University.
Research & Teaching Interests: Dr. Kitzinger specializes in Addiction Counseling, Counseling Adolescents, Group Counseling methodologies, and the Philosophical foundations of Counseling. His teaching philosophy emphasizes a collaborative, student-centered approach rooted in Motivational Interviewing principles, encouraging critical self-reflection and exposure to diverse perspectives.
