Robert Kelemen serves as Professor of Instruction and Graphic Design Area Co-Coordinator at the University of Akron's Mary Schiller Myers School of Art. He holds a BFA in Graphic Design, MFA in Visual Communication Design, and MS in User Experience Design from Kent State University.
With over 30 years of teaching experience spanning public and private institutions, his professional practice includes diverse clients from healthcare, nonprofits, startups, and corporations. Research interests focus on:
- Historical design methodologies
- Letterpress techniques
- Integration of traditional and digital processes
Organizes international student trips to design capitals and maintains Black Walnut Letterpress studio, developing innovative printing techniques combining traditional and technological approaches.
