Robert J. Nemiroff

Robert J. Nemiroff, University Professor of Physics at Michigan Technological University's College of Sciences and Arts, is a distinguished astrophysicist and Fellow of the American Physical Society. Known for co-creating the Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD) in 1995 and founding the Astrophysics Source Code Library (ASCL) in 1999, he has significantly advanced open science and public engagement. His research spans gamma-ray bursts, gravitational lensing, and cosmological constraints, with a focus on relativistic effects and observational innovation.
