Robert Homer

Robert Homer, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Pathology and Medicine (Pulmonary) at Yale School of Medicine. He serves as Director of Medical Studies in Anatomic Pathology and Director of Medical Education for Pathology, overseeing curriculum development for the pre-clerkship course Attacks and Defenses, which integrates immunology, infectious disease, and dermatology. His clinical expertise includes thoracic and anatomic pathology, with a focus on diagnostic and experimental lung diseases. He has held leadership roles at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, directing Anatomic Pathology from 1994 to 2022. His research spans lung fibrosis, lung cancer mechanisms, and the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in medical education.
