Robert Heinrichs

Robert Heinrichs is an Associate Teaching Professor at the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, Arizona State University (ASU). He has been teaching Software Engineering and related disciplines at ASU since 2017, specializing in courses such as Computer Systems Fundamentals, Embedded Interfaces, and Internet-Enabled Embedded Development. His teaching focuses on bridging theoretical concepts with practical applications in software engineering and embedded systems.

He has received the prestigious Fulton Top 5% Teaching Award three times (2020, 2022, 2024) from the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, recognizing his excellence in instruction. His research interests span software engineering methodologies, automotive systems, sensor technology, and online learning innovation, as evidenced by his published work on topics like adaptive automotive learning systems and collaborative online education tools.
