Robert Haack

Robert Haack is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University (MSU), affiliated with the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. Previously, he served as a forest entomologist with the USDA Forest Service (1986–2015), focusing on exotic bark- and wood-boring insects like the emerald ash borer. His research emphasizes invasive species pathways (e.g., firewood, wood packaging) and phytosanitary standards. He holds a PhD in Forest Entomology (University of Florida, 1984) and has authored over 200 publications.
