Robert Goddard

Robert Goddard is a Senior Teaching Fellow at Aston Law School, Aston University, within the College of Business and Social Sciences. His research and teaching focus on company law, corporate governance, taxation, Scots law, and the law of the Crown Dependencies.

His research spans broad areas including company law principles, corporate governance frameworks, and taxation. Specific subfields include institutional investor roles, Scots corporate law distinctions, and regulatory responses to financial crises. Publications such as the 2021 book Investor Stewardship and the UK Stewardship Code and the 2020 edited volume Regulation and the Global Financial Crisis highlight his expertise in corporate accountability and financial regulation.
