Robert G. Aykroyd

Dr Robert G. Aykroyd is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Mathematics, University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences. His expertise spans applied statistics and computational methods, with interdisciplinary applications across archaeology, medicine, and engineering.

• Research Focus: Bayesian modelling, image analysis, and inverse problems.
• Applications: Archaeological geophysics, PET/SPECT medical imaging, electrical tomography, climate reconstruction.
• Techniques: MCMC algorithms, finite element methods, wavelet methods.

Current postgraduate researchers include Fatih Gezer, Muyang Zhang, and Viet Dao. He is open to collaborations in variational Bayesian methods for inverse problems.
