Prof. Robert Göstl is a Professor leading the Research Group Göstl at RWTH Aachen University, with a concurrent position as Associated Scientist at the University of Wuppertal. His research bridges synthetic organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, photophysics, and materials science, focusing on mechanoresponsive biomaterials and polymer mechanochemistry.
His group investigates stress interactions with materials through innovative approaches like molecular fractography and force-induced bond scission. Key research areas include:
