Robert Ehrlich is a Professor of Recorder in the Department of Early Music at the Mendelssohn Hochschule in Leipzig, a position he has held since its founding in 1993. Previously, he taught at Southampton University and the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Guildhall School since 1998. Known for his expertise in historical performance practices, Ehrlich specializes in Baroque music and recorder performance.
Education: Studied Music and Ethnomusicology at King’s College, Cambridge, and recorder under Walter van Hauwe at the Sweelinck Conservatorium, Amsterdam.
