Robert Chaplin

Robert Chaplin is a Continuing Studies Instructor at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, where he teaches book design, illustration, and publishing. His work bridges art, literature, and craftsmanship, focusing on creating unique, often whimsical publications and sculptures.

• Guinness World Records holder for the world's smallest book
• Alcuin Society award recipient for book design excellence
• Specializes in children's books, art books, and precious metal art objects

His artistic practice explores themes of scale, context, and material transformation, incorporating elements like 14k green gold, hematite, and recycled ivory. He also runs Library Editions Inc., publishing limited-edition books with international standard book numbers.
