Robert C. Sills

Robert C. Sills, D.V.M., Ph.D., serves as Chief of the Comparative and Molecular Pathogenesis Branch at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He holds dual expertise in veterinary medicine and pathology, specializing in molecular and comparative pathogenesis. His research focuses on environmental health sciences, integrating toxicologic pathology and veterinary medicine to understand disease mechanisms. Dr. Sills is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (DACVP) and a Fellow of the International Academy of Toxicologic Pathologists (IATP). His professional roles include leadership in the NIH Intramural Research Program, where he oversees studies on environmental exposures and their pathogenic impacts.
