Robert C. Bird is a Professor of Business Law and Eversource Energy Chair in Business Ethics at the University of Connecticut School of Business. He is also a Research Fellow at the School of Law and a Member of the Institute for Systems Genomics. His expertise spans business ethics, corporate governance, and legal strategy. Bird holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and an M.B.A. from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
His research focuses on compliance, employment law, legal strategy, and business and human rights. He has authored over seventy academic publications in leading journals such as the Journal of Law and Economics and the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. His work addresses topics like board liability, supply chain ethics, and legal strategy in uncertain regulatory environments.
