Robert Brooks

Robert Brooks is a Professor in the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics at Monash University and currently serves as Deputy Dean (Education) in the Faculty of Business and Economics. He holds a PhD and Honours degree from Monash University, with prior experience at RMIT University. His research spans financial econometrics—including beta risk estimation, volatility modeling, and sovereign credit rating impacts on financial markets—and educational pedagogy focusing on problem-based learning in business statistics. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in fostering innovation and sustainable finance.

Brooks has secured research funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) and industry partners, leading projects such as 'Catch Me Before I Fail' (2022–2024) to enhance student academic performance and interventions in early education.
