Robert Bishop, Ph.D., is a Professor of Physics and Philosophy and the John and Madeleine McIntyre Chair of Philosophy and History of Science at Wheaton College since 2007. He holds degrees from the University of Texas at Austin: B.S. in Physics (1984), M.A. in Physics (1986), and Ph.D. in Philosophy (1999). His research focuses on the history and philosophy of science, philosophy of physics, and the philosophical implications of chaos and complex systems. He serves as area editor for the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy and critiques assumptions in science and theology.
