Robert Beverly is a Professor of Computer Science at the College of Sciences, San Diego State University. His research focuses on improving real-world network security, privacy, and resilience through large-scale measurement, traffic analysis, data mining, and protocol testing. He serves as the Director of the Cybersecurity Center of Excellence and is affiliated with the Department of Computer Science.

His expertise spans Systems, Networks, and Applied Cybersecurity, with recent publications analyzing router vendor diversity, IPv6 geolocation vulnerabilities, and internet topology discovery. Current research trends include network hygiene, source address validation, and infrastructure stability studies.
