Robert Beckford is an Associate Professor in Lived Religion and Society at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam’s Faculty of Religion and Theology. His research examines the intersection of Black theology, gospel music, and decolonization, with projects on reggae theomusicology and postcolonial religious expression in the UK.
