معرفی
Dr. Rob Powell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Durham University. His research focuses on theoretical computer science, specifically computational complexity and constraint satisfaction problems.
Educational background includes a BSc in Natural Sciences (Mathematics and Computer Science) and MSc in Internet Technology and Distributed Systems from Durham University, followed by a PhD in Complexity Theory under Professor Andrei Krokhin. His doctoral research examined binarisation techniques for valued constraint satisfaction problems.
Powell's publications contribute to constraint satisfaction theory, including work on skew bisubmodularity and optimization methods for valued CSPs. He maintains an active role in departmental IT management, including oversight of the NCC GPU research cluster.
