Rob Kovacs serves as a Lecturer of Songwriting at the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, where he mentors emerging musicians in composition and songwriting. A multi-award-winning video game composer and concert pianist, he is renowned for his innovative solo performances including the historic first solo rendition of Steve Reich's "Piano Phase" performed simultaneously on two pianos.
He earned a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) from the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music. His professional trajectory bridges academic instruction with active performance and composition careers spanning video game soundtracks, contemporary classical works, and indie rock.
Kovacs' expertise centers on video game music composition and piano performance, with specialized focus on 8-bit era arrangements and synthwave production.
