Ritvik Ramkumar is currently an H.C. Wang Assistant Professor at Cornell University's Department of Mathematics. Starting Fall 2024, he will transition to the University of Notre Dame as an Assistant Professor in their Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on Algebraic Geometry, with connections to Commutative Algebra and Combinatorics, supported by NSF grant DMS-2401462.
Education:
- PhD in Mathematics, UC Berkeley (Advisor: David Eisenbud)
- Bachelor's degree, University of Waterloo
Research Interests: Explores foundational questions in algebraic geometry, particularly interactions between algebraic structures and geometric phenomena. His work integrates tools from commutative algebra and combinatorial methods to tackle problems in moduli spaces and birational geometry.
