Rita Noites is a Researcher at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health (CIIS) within the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Catholic University of Portugal. With an h-index of 67 and 75 research outputs spanning from 2008 to 2025, she has established herself as a prominent figure in endodontic research. Her work focuses on endodontic materials, disinfection techniques, and root canal treatments, with significant contributions to understanding antimicrobial activity in dental applications.
Dr. Noites' research interests center on Endodontics, particularly examining Dental Materials and Disinfection in Endodontics. Her work investigates antimicrobial activity of various agents, root canal treatment efficacy, and the properties of gutta-percha materials. She has pioneered research in minimally invasive endodontic access techniques and their impact on canal disinfection, as well as innovative approaches to salivary biomarker monitoring in restorative dentistry.
Her 15 most recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on advancing endodontic science, with increasing emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches combining microbiology, materials science, and clinical dentistry. Recent work shows particular interest in antimicrobial resistance patterns and the development of novel disinfection protocols.
