Rita Biswas is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Massry School of Business, University at Albany, SUNY. She has served as Chair of the Finance Department and Associate Dean of International Initiatives and Executive Education.

Her research focuses on international financial markets, macro-fundamentals in exchange rate determination, and entrepreneurship in emerging economies. Recent work explores the efficacy of machine learning in modeling exchange rates and the link between entrepreneurial orientation and success in Colombia.
She has won multiple teaching awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2013), and teaches cross-border valuation, M&As, and international corporate finance in executive programs globally.
