Rita Andrade

Rita Andrade is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a Researcher at the Católica Research Centre for the Future of Law (CEID). She holds a PhD in Private Law from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, focusing on employment contract suspension. She is a founding member of APODIT (Portuguese Labor Law Association) and AJJ (Young Labor Law Experts Association), and her work addresses labor rights, sports law, and EU employment directives.

• Education: PhD in Private Law (Universidade Nova de Lisboa), graduated from labor law and sports law.

Her research explores job security, employment contract dynamics, and privacy at work, with publications spanning 2018–2023. Recent contributions include chapters on dismissal protection and privacy@work frameworks. She actively participates in labor law seminars and media discussions on wage transparency and telecommuting challenges.

She serves as a consultant at Sérvulo & Associados SRL and contributes to the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) through her academic and legal outreach.
