Risa Matsuo is an Assistant Professor at the Waseda Institute for Advanced Study, specializing in the intersections of Musicology, Comparative Literature, and 19th-century European cultural studies. Her work focuses on the relationship between Chopin's compositions and Polish-French literary traditions, particularly the influence of George Sand and Adam Mickiewicz.
