Dr. Rina Tannenbaum is a Professor in the Department of Chemical & Molecular Engineering at Stony Brook University, part of the College of Engineering. She holds a BSc (Chemistry, 1974) and MSc (Chemistry, 1978) from Hebrew University, and a PhD (Chemical Engineering, 1982) from ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on biomaterials, nanotechnology, and renewable resource-derived materials, with emphasis on bioadhesion, tissue engineering, and hierarchical nanoplatforms for drug delivery. She has authored over 150 publications and a book in these domains.
