معرفی
Dr. Rico Fischer is a researcher at the Julius Kühn Institute (JKI), Germany's Federal Research Institute for Cultivated Plants, where he leads the working group on Digital Twins and Forest Modelling. Previously, he was affiliated with the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) in Leipzig.
- Research Focus: Mechanistic forest ecosystem modeling, digital forest twins, climate change risk assessment, and sustainable forest management.
- Methods: Integrates remote sensing data with ecological models to predict biotic/abiotic damage risks and develop climate-stable forest scenarios.
His recent work spans species distribution modeling, vegetation albedo dynamics, and policy evaluation for agri-environmental schemes. He contributes to projects like FORMIND (individual-based forest modeling) and POLISES (policy instruments under global change).
Technical Expertise: Utilizes environmental informatics, remote sensing, and agent-based modeling frameworks. Current affiliations include the Institute for Forest Protection at JKI and the Ecological Systems Analysis department.
