Richard Schuessler serves as Interim Chair and Professor in the Department of Art and Design at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he has held faculty positions since 1993.
His educational background includes:
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the State University of New York
- Master of Fine Arts in Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University
His research focuses on pedagogical methodologies for integrating traditional and digital graphic design technologies, with creative practice centered on typographic expression through computer imaging, screen printing, and letterpress techniques. This interdisciplinary approach bridges art education, digital media, and historical printmaking traditions.
