Richard P LaRowe

Richard P LaRowe is an Adjunct Teaching Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and a Principal Technical Fellow at Raytheon. He serves as Technical Director for Raytheon's Software Engineering division, leading software strategy and roadmaps for real-time embedded systems across defense systems. He is a Raytheon Certified Architect and member of the Architecture Review Board (ARB), with Chief Architect roles on major programs like the DDG1000 Zumwalt destroyer.

Education: Holds Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Computer Science.

Research focuses on systems/software architecture, parallel computing, AI/ML strategies, digital transformation, and cybersecurity. He has authored numerous publications and holds four patents. His professional contributions include establishing the Raytheon Radar Software Product Line (RSPL), AI/ML strategy development, and the Digital Products Initiative (DPI).

Personal interests include woodworking, hiking, and backpacking.
