Richard Morgan is Professor of Molecular Oncology and Dean of Biosciences at the University of West London's School of Medicine and Biosciences. His academic journey includes:
- PhD and postdoctoral research at MRC National Institute for Medical Research and Hubrecht Laboratory
- Senior lectureships at St. George’s Hospital Medical School and University of Surrey
- Professorship and directorship at University of Bradford's Institute of Cancer Therapeutics (2015-2020)
His research focuses on molecular oncology with emphasis on:
- Targeting HOX/Engrailed transcription factors in cancer therapeutics
- Developing HXR9 antagonist for hematological and solid tumors
- Validating EN2 as diagnostic biomarker for prostate cancer (2× more sensitive than PSA)
His recent publications (2017-2025) demonstrate:
- Consistent focus on HOX/PBX mechanisms across multiple cancers
- Translational research spanning biomarker discovery to clinical trials
- Computational, molecular, and clinical oncology approaches
Industrial collaborations advance HOX-targeting technologies, with EN2 currently in international clinical trials.
