Richard McManus

Richard McManus is a Professor of Economics and Reader in Macroeconomic Policy at Canterbury Christ Church University, serving as Director of Research Development at Christ Church Business School and Interim Section Director for Postgraduate and Professional within the School of Business, Law and Policing.

His academic qualifications include a BSc in Economics, MSc in Economics, and PhD from the University of York, complemented by Chartered Accountant certification from Ernst & Young.

His research specializes in macroeconomic policy with dual focus on constitutional impacts on economic outcomes and tax revenue dynamics from fiscal changes. Work has been published in academic journals and cited by major international media including The Telegraph, Times Higher Education, The Guardian, and The Conversation across the UK, US, and Turkey.
