معرفی
Emeritus Professor Richard Keene holds the position of Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the School of Physics, Chemistry and Earth Sciences within the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. His primary appointment is in the Chemistry department. His research focuses on metallosupramolecular assemblies, particularly stereochemistry control and their applications in intramolecular electron transfer, nucleic acid interactions, and antibacterial mechanisms. He has supervised two PhD students: Kate Louisa Flint (2017–2022) and Rosemary Jane Young (2017–2021). He can be contacted via richard.keene@adelaide.edu.au.
Research Interests:
- Structure-selectivity in metal complexes with nucleic acids
- Cytotoxicity mechanisms of metal complexes in cancer cells and bacteria
- Selective toxicity of ruthenium(II) complexes against drug-resistant pathogens
Publications highlight contributions to ruthenium-based antimicrobial agents, bacterial membrane interactions, and cytotoxicity studies. No scientific awards are explicitly listed in the provided texts.
