Richard Kasemsarn

Richard Kasemsarn is a Continuing Studies Instructor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), specializing in Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Designed Objects since 2008. He holds a BS from the University of Michigan (1992), an MArch from the University of Pennsylvania (1994), and another MArch from Yale University (1997). Concurrently, he serves as a Project Architect at Fitzgerald Associates Architects. His professional projects include the Theater Wit, P+L, and Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts. He has been a finalist for the Burnham Prize and has contributed to publications like Pecha Kucha Chicago and Speculative Chicago.

Teaching focuses on interior design fundamentals, design principles, and studio practices. Courses include Introduction to Interior Design, Design Matters, and Interior Design Studio: Kitchen and Baths, emphasizing creative problem-solving and contemporary design trends.
