Dr. Burke's research critically examines American political behavior through multiple lenses including public opinion dynamics, psychological underpinnings of partisanship, media effects on political attitudes, and state/local governance priorities. His work investigates fundamental questions about self-interest in political decision-making, conditions that reduce partisan polarization, and factors shaping governmental issue attention. This multidisciplinary approach bridges political psychology with practical governance concerns across different American political institutions.
