Richard Heald

Richard Heald serves as a Senior Teaching Fellow within the School of Law, part of the Faculty of Business & Law at the University of Portsmouth. He is actively affiliated with the Future of Law, Innovation and Technology Research Centre, focusing on interdisciplinary legal scholarship at the intersection of law, technology, and societal evolution.

His research spans foundational legal theory and emerging technological applications, with particular emphasis on:

• Adaptive legal frameworks for digital innovation
• Technology-driven transformations in legal practice
• Future-oriented regulatory models
• Human-technology interfaces in justice systems
• Ethical implications of legal automation
• Interdisciplinary approaches to legal education
