Dr. Richard George Barbers is a Clinical Professor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He specializes in clinical medicine with a focus on asthma, lung transplantation, allergy, and clinical immunology. His research explores innate and adaptive immune mechanisms in severe asthma, airway remodeling, and autophagy’s role in respiratory disease. Dr. Barbers earned his MD from Georgetown University and completed fellowships in Clinical Immunology/Allergy and Pulmonary Disease at UCLA.
