Richard Evitts is a Professor and Undergraduate Chair in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan. His research spans corrosion engineering, fuel cell technology, and heat/mass transfer in granular media.
- Education: B.E., B.Sc., Ph.D., P.Eng.
- Contact: Room 2B37 Engineering Building, 57 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 5A9; richard.evitts@usask.ca
Research Interests: Evitts specializes in localized corrosion, particle technology, and torrefaction, with additional focus on protective film dynamics, heat/moisture transfer in granular systems, and fuel cell electrochemistry.
Article Trends: His publications emphasize corrosion mechanisms in industrial settings, torrefaction severity metrics for biomass, and thermal/hydraulic modeling of granular fertilizers. Recent work includes bio-batteries, desiccant coatings, and potash crystallization studies.
