Richard Enbody is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU), within the College of Engineering. He has been at MSU since 1987, following a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Mathematics from Carleton College. His research focuses on computer security, hardware security (e.g., Secure Bit), ransomware, browser malware, and cybersecurity education. He has won the Withrow Teaching Excellence Award twice (1992, 2008) and holds patents in nanotechnology and security hardware.
