Dr. Amara specializes in advanced electrophysiological techniques for treating complex cardiac arrhythmias, including ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and ventricular tachycardia. His research explores the link between left atrial epicardial adipose tissue and atrial fibrillation, while also investigating premature ventricular contraction (PVC) patterns in high-burden patients.
Recent publications highlight his work in cardiac xenotransplantation, PVC burden analysis, and imaging-based diagnostics. Key methodologies include large animal models, advanced electrocardiography, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.
