Riccardo Pozza is the Chief Network Architect at the 5G/6G Innovation Centre, University of Surrey. He holds a PhD (2015) and MSc (2011) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Surrey, and a BSc from the University of Bologna. His work focuses on IoT testbeds, machine learning applications in networks, and energy-efficient communication protocols.
Key projects include managing the 5G/6GIC campus testbed for O-RAN compliant NG-RAN development, 3GPP-compliant core networks, and network orchestration systems. He contributes to international initiatives like ESA 5G-TINA and EU H2020 TagItSmart!. His research integrates IoT sensors for social behavior analysis, smart city infrastructures, and opportunistic networking optimization.
